Successful Movember Fundraiser by Adera Capital, CCP & CTS

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

CCP would like to thank all the men at Adera Capital Corp, Canadian Communication Products and Corporate Telecom Services for the money they’ve raised by participating in Movember (mustaches for awareness of men’s health).

With a little healthy competition between companies, we were able to raise a Grand Total of $14,926.00.

Thank you to everyone who took part and donated to this worthy cause and we look forward to this being a yearly event.

^ Collected enough clothes to fill an SUV

CCP Central Offices

  • Held a Food Drive starting mid-November till late-December
^ Collected over 50lbs of food

CCP Eastern Offices

  • Clothing Drive, which entailed giving clothing to the various divisions of the Salvation Army across the nation

Canary Derby

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

This year we contributed to our Partner, Polycom Canada Ltd. at the Canary Derby. It was a ton of fun and we can’t wait to do it again next year. They took the liberty of adding our logo to their car, which was fantastic as seen in the photo above.

The first car they raced was the racy black BC Cancer Agency cart – they were half way down the track before we were even off the ramp!!!

Somehow or another they ended up having to race all of the fastest carts that were there. Slightly embarrassing for them. All of these slick, fiberglass, aluminum, giant-wheeled carts vs. plywood and 5″ wheels. They lost their races, but we weren’t the slowest – some carts had to be pushed across the finish line. At least they were still under their own power! I have to say there were a lot of laughs and a lot of fun!

All in all, they raised approx. $5,500 – so that’s fantastic. Beating their goal of $5k.
